| CAP mentors and students prepare for the Goal Setting Meeting. Fall 2009 |
The Career Advantage Program (CAP) is offered through the Marshall Undergraduate Student Services Office, and provides sophomore, junior and senior-level undergraduates the opportunity to be paired with Marshall alumni who assist them in developing the professional, interpersonal and networking skills critical to their own success. Mentors and their groups of three to four students connect and grow through professional development and social activities. Often, students go to the mentor's place of work and get a real sense of what sorts of skills are required and what sort of people they will be working with. The impact of the program is felt by many of the 100+ alumni and 300+ students that participate in the program every year.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING CAP APPLICATIONS.
- CAP will not be accepting spring mentee applicants in 2011. The only exception will be students who participated in the Fall 2010 Marshall International Exchange Program. All students MUST apply this fall semester.
- We are no longer accepting MENTOR applications for the 2010-2011 school year. Any interested volunteers will be considered for the next academic year.
